| 10-24-09 We were called by PSP Embreville at 1815 hours to respond to Route 41 south of Route 372 in Atglen a large fuel spill and a passenger vehicle. We were advised that it was a loaded tractor and trailer blocking two lanes. We were also advised that the spill had been contained by the fire departments haz-mat unit. We dispatched a heavy duty, truck tractor and rollback to the scene along with our spill clean-up team. Upon arrival we found a Freightliner tractor pulling a reefer trailer that was coming southbound blocking one northbound and one southbound lane with heavy front end damage. We were advised that the accident was actually in West Fallowfield Township making it a PSP Avondale incident. Once given the go ahead the truck and car were recovered from the scene. The fuel spill was cleaned up by our personnel. 10-25-09 Personnel returned to the scene to continue site restoration. Traffic control was set up to close the break down lane on the northbound side. The lane was swept of oil dry and truck parts were removed from road bank. The same was then done on the southbound side. |
