Truck #'s 09 and 04 were immediately dispatched to the scene. We arrived minutes later to find a Mack tri-axle dump that had been cut off by a car, in order to avoid hitting the car the driver put the truck in the ditch. The truck was all but stopped when it went over. There was a partial load spill. Two small dump units , an extenda hoe backhoe, our skid steer loader, and our incident response unit were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival of the incident response crew cones were set up to move the traffic into the passing lane giving us the slow lane to work. While waiting for the lane closure straps were placed around the bed and the driveshaft was removed. Once everything was in place the still partially loaded truck was uprighted and winched back onto the roadway using both trucks. Once on the roadway the truck was turned over to River's Truck Center for them to tow it to their customers shop. Our crew remained on scene to handle the clean-up of the load. Once the load was removed the scene was restored to pre-accident condition.. |
