| 5-20-08 Today we were called by PSP Lancaster for a loaded tractor and trailer into a house on Route 222 at Bunker Hill Rd. We responded with #04 and #94. We arrived to find a tractor and trailer that had swerved to avoid a car that had pulled out in front of it and traveled off the roadway over top of a potato cellar and a well pit before striking a house. The fuel tank on the truck was leaking. Refton Fire Company was on scene and contacted the Lancaster County Haz-Mat team. Once the Haz-Mat team arrived, they pumped the fuel from the leaking tank into another tank on the truck. Once this was completed, we were given the go ahead to move the truck. 04 and 94 worked side by side to pull the truck through the mud back onto the roadway. Once on the roadway, the unit was split up. 94 towed the tractor and 95 pulled the trailer back to our impound yard. |
