| 4-1-10 This evening we were called by PSP Avondale to respond to Route 10 and Friendship Church Road in Highland Township for an accident involving a tractor and trailer loaded with a hazardous material with heavy damage to the with Haz-Mat, Police, and company officials. The suspension on the trailer sustained major damage from the impact. The front axle was pushed back against the rear axle not allowing the trailer to roll. We discussed off loading the trailer however we were advised that the off load process could take up to five hours. At that point we decided to remove the damaged wheels and tires off of the front axle and tow the trailer in on just the back axle. Several crew members worked on the trailer while others loaded the other vehicle involved in the accident. Once the work was done to the trailer the truck and trailer were seperated. A replacement tractor was hooked to the trailer. 09 was then used to lift the damaged tractor on 95/99-TL to be transported from the scene. |
