3-2-10    This morning we were called to respond at 0930 to Route 10 southbound at the on ramp to the southbound
Route 1 bypass for an overturned tractor and trailer that had a load spillage as well.  Immediately a recovery supervisor
was dispatched along with our heavy duty sliding rotator and a 45 ton sliding boom tow truck.  Upon arrival, we found a
Peterbilt tractor with a flat bed trailer that was carrying a load of concrete slabs.  The straps holding the load had broke
allowing the load to spill onto the roadway.  Several of the concrete slabs were down over an embankment.  At that time,
our Landoll trailer and flatbed were dispatched to the scene to reload the load on.  The tractor and trailer were
uprighted and moved from the scene using the sliding rotator and the 45 ton.  Once that was complete, the sliding
rotator was used to lift each individual slab and rotate them onto our two awaiting trucks to haul them from the scene to
our facility.  Several of the slabs were laying flat on the ground and had to be pre-lifted using our “Mat-Jack recovery
system”, which consist of high pressure low lift air cushions.  Once the load was reloaded, the entire area was cleared of
debris from the truck, trailer, and load.  The truck was towed to Null’s via the 45 ton, the trailer was towed via the sliding
rotator.  Once at Null’s the sliding rotator was used to off-load the slabs from our two flat-beds onto the ground for
storage at our facility.
