1-25-10  This morning we were called
by PSP Avondale to respond to Route
472 and Street Road in Lower Oxford
Twp for an overturned tanker.  They
also requested a skid loader to assist
with the clean-up.  09, 04, 94, 06, 00
and the skid loader were all
dispatched to the scene.  We arrived
to find a loaded milk tanker that had
struck an embankment and
overturned.  We performed our walk
around survey and found heavy
damage to the tractor and moderate
damage to the trailer.  The decision
was made to upright the units separate.
The truck and trailer were separated, the tractor was
uprighted using 09.  94 then towed the tractor from the
scene.  04 and 09 then worked together to perform an "end
roll" on the trailer.  Once the trailer was uprighted, the
remainder of the load was pumped off onto an awaiting
trailer.  09 then towed the trailer from the scene.  Both the
truck and the trailer were transported to Null's of
Cochranville for DOT Inspection.  The parts from the truck
and trailer were then loaded onto 00 and hauled to Null's.
The skid loader scraped the mud off of the roadway so
traffic would be able to pass without any obstructions.
THANKS TO THE UNION FIRE COMPANY NO. 1 OF
OXFORD FOR ALL OF THEIR HELP!!!
